- Be fluently bilingual in any language.
- Have completed one of the following:
- Another medical interpreter training program.
- Worked as a medical interpreter for at least 1 year.
INTRODUCTION TO MEDICAL INTERPRETER: LEVEL 1
Participants will advance their skills in medical interpreting. They will learn about the latest developments and acquire resources and information from leaders in the field. They will receive a Certificate of Completion of 8 hours of training. The certificate will serve as proof to employers of a personal commitment to the profession of medical interpreting, interest in staying abreast of trends and a willingness to invest in professional development.
What are the Benefits of this Training?
Participants will explore the roles and functions of a professional interpreter in a health or human service setting. They will understand the ethical and confidentiality issues involved in providing medical interpreter services and will be able to use interpreter tools, techniques and code of ethics. Participants will have increased confidence and be better prepared to work as medical interpreters.
Payment is required prior to entrance to the program.
Refund policy: Refund request will be honored if received in our office up to two (2) full working days before the program date. The amount refunded will be 70% of registration fee. You may send a substitute.
